The BP MS 150 Bike Tour is a two-day Cycling adventure from Houston to Austin that raises funds to help people living with MS. Hailing from various Fugro locations. Team Fugro had a total of 129 riders participating in this event. The grueling 2-day ride begins in Houston and ends on the Capitol grounds in Austin, and riders overnight in LaGrange. Team Fugro riders were particularly fortunate to have over 100 volunteers waiting for them at the team tent in LaGrange and cheering them on at the mid-point line. Not only is the ride grueling, but the volunteer effort is amazing. The Team Fugro riders are made to feel as comfortable as possible while preparing for the next day's ride into Austin. It is truly a "team" effort on the part of both the riders and the volunteers. As a result of everyone's efforts, Team Fugro raised a total of $119,393.39 for the fight against MS.
This year 28 riders from Fugro West, Inc. will also be participating in the California MS150. Our route begins on the south side of Camarillo and then takes riders northeast to Santa Paula before traveling north through the beautiful Ojai Valley. Day one will finish at Leadbetter Beach in breathtaking Santa Barbara, where riders will have the opportunity to celebrate with their friends and family at our annual festival that includes music, food and a beer garden. Day two will begin back on the beach and continue south along the ocean with spectacular views, as riders return through the strawberry fields of Oxnard to Camarillo.
