Responsibilities

• Assists in supporting 80+ PC users in Oakland and several satellite offices in Northern California.
• Installs, maintains, and upgrades Windows PCs and peripherals, maintains fleet of BlackBerry PDAs.
• Provide occasional 24/7 or off-hours on call support for remote users.
• Maintains users’ logs of tasks/requests, recommends solutions, follows up on problem resolutions, and effectively communicates status in a timely manner.
• Maintains software licenses, hardware inventory, and software documentation library, ensuring compliance with Fugro IT Policies.
• Identifies improvement opportunities and develops productivity support tools.
• Suggests and implements solutions to enhance IT operations efficiency.
• Cooperates with other IT team members and participates in IT Projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Computer Science or a related field with 0-2 or more years of experience. MCSE or MCSA is a plus.
• Experience with servers hardware (RAID, iSCSI) Windows 2003 servers, AD, Exchange, backup systems and network is a plus.
• Experience in computer troubleshooting and problem solving is required.
• Strong customer service skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and prioritize tasks; communicating in a professional and timely manner in a team environment.
• Must be extremely reliable and punctual.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's license, and an acceptable driving record.
• Flexibility to occasionally travel to support the satellite offices.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
