Duties
- Configure and operate DGPS and RTK navigation systems and software.
- Configure, calibrate, operate and effectively tune various types of survey equipment including: single and multibeam echo sounders, side scan sonar, sound velocity profilers, tide gauges, and land survey systems.
- Maintain daily reports and data records.
- Quality control of acquired survey data and subsequent processing and reporting.
- Ability to work offshore for extended periods of time, and may include occasional domestic and international travel.
- Support of Fugro’s quality and safety programs.
Requirements
- B.S. in Oceanography, Ocean Engineering, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Some experience preferred.
- Computer literacy including, Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, including grammar.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Applicants must complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Sea-going travel is an integral part of the job
