State Platform Abandonment Project Multibeam and Side Scan Sonar Debris Surveys, Carpinteria, California
Fugro conducted pre- and post-abandonment surveys for the Chevron State Platform Abandonment project in the Santa Barbara Channel. The purpose of the surveys was to:

• Determine if all debris was removed from four oil platform abandonment locations,
• Locate any exposed pipeline along the platform-to-shore corridor, and
• Define the size, height, shape, and volume of the shell piles at each platform.

Pre- and post-abandonment multibeam bathymetry and side-scan sonar debris surveys were conducted at the four platforms, at mooring sites, and along pipeline routes between the platforms and to shore.
