On-Call Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering Services, City of Oakland
Over the past 16 years Fugro has provided geotechnical and environmental engineering services to the City of Oakland. Fugro has conducted geotechnical studies for landslide repairs, site remediation, jack and bore pipeline crossings, and underground utility upgrade including the following projects:

Landslide investigation and repair at Fontaine Street, Sayer Drive, the Montclair Golf Course, Rosecrest Avenue, and Oak Hill Road.

• Major widening of 98th Avenue
• Design of shoreline restoration features for Lake Merritt
• Geotechnical investigations for roadway and pavement repairs, sewer and storm drain replacements
• Foundations for new building

Environmental services have included environmental assessment and remedial design implementation, including soil vapor extraction systems and groundwater pump-and-treat. Fugro assisted the City of Oakland with environmental issues associated with several property transfers, including the Clawson Street school site, property at 14th Street and Cypress, and at 800 Center Street.

Fugro has conducted numerous tank site closures at City facilities, including:

• Oakland Museum,
• Kaiser Convention Center, and
• Fire Stations 4, 19, 23, and 24
