San Ramon Creek Improvements, Contra Costa County
For years, San Ramon Creek's artificial channel continued to erode and encroach on public and private lands. Fugro was part of a County team to develop an environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing creek improvement design that provided an alternative to typical concrete or rock-lined channel solutions.

Fugro's engineers and geologists mapped the site and conducted a subsurface investigation to evaluate slope and stream channel stability. Fugro then helped fit appropriate design features to the environment and provided geotechnical design criteria for the project.
