Fugro West Employee Selected as Young Engineer of the Year

Jamie Hutchins received the “Young Engineer of the Year” Award from the Santa Barbara/Ventura Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. The award was presented at the annual Engineers week dinner at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, on February 19th, 2009
Jamie has 5 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer from design through construction, resulting in a well rounded engineer. She began her career as a lab and field technician, which provided a great foundation for her design and project management skills. Jamie has provided geotechnical and construction observation for onshore and offshore projects including pipeline, channels, pedestrian and vehicular bridges and tunnels, levees, pavements, various building and parking structures. Jamie has worked on projects here in the USA and internationally as well. Ms. Hutchins is an active promoter of the engineering profession through outreach activities such as the Science Fair and Segue Programs. She is also the Secretary of the Young Member Forum of the Santa Barbara/Ventura branch of ASCE.
